Morjim Beach, a special and peaceful beach in North Goa. Morjim is located south to Ashwem beach and is the southernmost beach in the Pernem sub-district of North Goa. During the day the area is considered to be quite tranquil, a place to enjoy and simply relax on the beach while dining at some of the best north Goa restaurants, cafés and bars. Morjim beach is known to have a lively night life party scene when, much like other beach hut resorts in Goa, the local beach resorts are turning their restaurant space into night clubs, usually open until 11pm.
Morjim Beach Resorts
Morjim Beach has a great selection of upscale beach hut resorts such as Leela Cottages and Morjim Hermitage. In the past few years, we have seen more new Boutique hotels in the region, such as Safira River Front Resort, Marbella Resort and Sur La Mer, adding a new class of Goa accommodation to this spectacular stretch of a coastline.
Morjim hosts a number of superb restaurant such as Lemongras, Divine Gypsie and Laxmi Bar and Restaurant. One of Morjim’s best known restaurants is Sublime, offering fusion cuisine prepared by their chefs.
Some of the popular nightclubs in Morjim are Soma, Sporting Heroes Rocks, Marbelas’s and well-known Bora Bora - a beach shack / night club / restaurant that is open 24 hrs.
During the season Morjim beach offers many Yoga, Ayurveda treatments, Spas, and Wellness treatments centers. During the hot hours of the day, Kite Surfing is the most popular sport on this beach.
Morjim Beach might not be as well known as Baga or Calangute beach (not necessarily a bad thing frankly), yet it still attracts many famous celebrities from all over the globe. Morjim offers quiet and serene atmosphere along with a vibrant party and gastronomic scenery.
