Cottages in Goa

The best Cottages in Goa are mostly at the less touristic locates, so basically if you wish to spend your time in a hut on the beach, surrounded only by white sand and the sound of waves, stay away of the north and travel down south to Agonda beach or behind.

There are many types of cottages in general, although the traditional definition is the good old coconut beach hut, set right on the sand or on stilts about 2 or 3 meter off the ground, facing the beach, the more simple one didn’t even use to have running water in them, not to mention toilets.

Nowadays the basic cottages in Goa are mostly made of wood and consist of hot water shower, a fair size bedroom a comfortable queen size bed, and a small veranda with a couple of chairs, a table and maybe a hammock hanging, the better suited cottages may have also AC and huge windows at the front side overlooking the sea.
