Beach Resorts in Goa
Goa, India , Na een periode van meer dan 450 jaar als eenzame voorpost van het Portugese imperium, werd Goa pas in 1962 door India teruggewonnen. De bewijzen van deze lange, koloniale overheersing zijn nog steeds overal te zien. Een overweldigende (vaak vervallen) architectuur, een gemengde keuken, melancholieke fado muziek en de middag siesta onderscheiden Goa van de rest van India.
De buitengewone, overdadige natuur is een van de belangrijkste attracties van Goa voor de meer dan twee miljoen toeristen, die jaarlijks dit prachtige deel van India’s westkust bezoeken. Kokospalmen, goudkleurig zandstrand en helder blauw water. Een dichte, groene jungle, bruisende rivierenen schitterende watervallen in het binnenland. Een rijk vogelleven (ijsvogels worden er soms waargenomen), tamme buffels, die vrij langs de weg lopen en de overal aanwezige koeien, onder andere aan het strand, maken deel uit van het bonte dierenleven dat U zal tegenkomen op een vakantie in Goa.
Maar Goa staat ook bekend om zijn uitgebreide, schitterende accomodatie, hotels en strandhutten, als ook restaurants in wereldklasse en een uitbundig nachtleven. Een herstellende nachtrust in een mooie strandhut, in slaap gesust door het geklots van de golven, dat is gewoon een “must”. Wordt wakker met een vroege ochtend yoga les (genoeg om uit te kiezen), gevolgd door een cocktail met heerlijk, vers geperst tropisch vruchtensap, ja, dan ben je weer klaar om van een nieuwe zonnige dag aan de Arabische zee te genieten. ’s-Avonds lekkere verse vis eten in een feestelijk verlicht strand restaurant onder de tropische sterrenhemel. Proef ook eens een lokale specialiteit zoals feni, een sterke drank, gemaakt van kokos- of cashewnoten.
Hoewel niet zonder problemen, zoals de invloed van het massatoerisme op het milieu, is Goa nog steeds een van de meest onbedorven plaatsen ter wereld om er een magische vakantie door te brengen, alleen, met het gezin of romantisch met z’n tweëen er even tussen uit!

Beach hut booking has always been mostly about cottages at Goa beach, being motivated travelers ourselves, we came to Goa India (long time ago), just like anyone else, to be totally astonished by the wild nature, as much as with the folklore, culture and people.
However, since then we’ve learned something about accommodation in Goa.
So, here we are, humble to bring you what we see as the best beach hotels in Goa, or if to be more accurate, we attempt to categorize and bring forth different types of Hostels, Motels or Resorts as they are, and fitting Travelers of all kinds.
Goa Resorts
It is important to learn about the best time to visit Goa, before choosing our vacation dates. And we should probably also research for the right Goa beach, and Goa beach resort, that will offer us either a beach hut, a room, or a cottage within our comfort zone.
Hotels in Goa usually advertise themselves as a “beach resort”, some really are… Now, even though Goa holidays are known to be unforgettable, we don’t want the reason for that to be a very wrong choice of accommodation.

Goa Beach
If you are hoping to rediscover the Beaches of Goa for yourself, there are a few sweet hidden beach corners in both the north and south Goa, You should know that those still exist, and are usually quite empty, even more so around the off season, but it shouldn’t be an issue if you are planning a long vacation.
A dolphin near the beach? Well, in Goa it’s not such a big deal at all, you can see them daily, especially traveling down south, you could hire an early morning boat ride, but if you’re lucky enough you should be able to spot them even while sitting on the beach...
Goa has same great night life scene to it, if that’s what you’re into. Surly, there are more night clubs up north Goa around Vagator and Baga beach, but Palolem region and Agonda beach down south have more than enough night life to keep you very busy for a while.
